Health Minister launches new research grant for TCM

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners can now tap on a grant to fund research on chronic diseases.

Health Minister Gan Kim Yong (Singapore) made the announcement Saturday morning, during the 10th Asean Congress of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Mr Gan said it was a good opportunity for TCM practitioners to work alongside western medicine "to improve patient outcomes".

He also encouraged TCM practitioners to keep in touch with the latest technology and medicines in their field by attending upgrading courses.
